Project Description

Queenscliff Residency

In June 2018 I spent a week at in residence at the Queenscliff Gallery Workshop, a precious opportunity which I was provided as a prizewinner at the 2017 Geelong Print Awards.  The chance to spend an intensive, experimental week at the QGW was inspirational, and resulted in an extension to my collagraphic print practice. Prior to the residency, the subject matter for my collagraphs had been objects–refuse and rubbish–found in the gutters in the neighbourhood around my inner-Melbourne studio.  Queenscliff’s seaside locale offered an intriguing palette of oceanic refuse.  These collagraphic prints are from the shortlist.
